Our Process

From our hands to your table

Every piece goes through several sets of hands. We hand wedge each chunk of clay (and recycled clay as well!) before being hand thrown on a pottery wheel. When a piece is leather hard, it is hand trimmed and given its fine detail before being hand-loaded into a bisque kiln. Each piece is waxed by hand, glazed one at a time, and then sponge-cleaned before being placed back in the kiln for its final firing. As it’s taken out of the kiln, each piece is inspected, food-safe tested, sanded, cleaned and packaged to arrive safely on your table.

Safe and Durable

We use a variety of different clay bodies in our studio, namely stoneware and porcelain. Our designs are durable and elegant at the same time. We use food-safe commercial glazes and all of our pieces are fired to the correct temperature to assure they are safe for years to come.
